Goretti Masadde, the CEO Uganda Institute of Banking and Financial services said the sports gala has been a success with a lot of competition, exercising, networking and supporting of competitor banks.

“This year has been a great improvement from the previous year. We have seen banks evaluate themselves saying they need to recruit young people while others need to be intentional and have their start go through continuous training. We have also had proposals of organizing games spread out for a period of three months,” Masadde said.

She said the gala has created cohesion among bankers from different financial institutions around the country.

“We have also seen a lot of women participate in the games which means there is inclusiveness. Some games which are predominantly women, we insisted there is a certain number of women participating.”
