Africa-Press – Uganda. Epikaizo Ministries International has held a colourful Cultural Day celebration ahead of its forthcoming Inspirational Leadership Awards, blending faith, heritage and national recognition in an event that drew leaders from across Uganda’s public and private sectors.
The celebration, led by the ministry’s Lead Pastor and Senior Prophet, TJ Collins, highlighted Uganda’s cultural diversity through traditional music, dance and attire drawn from various communities, including the Baganda, Banyarwanda and other regions.
The displays underscored themes of unity, identity and shared values.
Organisers said the event was designed not only to celebrate culture, but also to set the tone for recognising leadership rooted in service to humanity and national development.
Among those recognised were Next Media Group Chief Executive Kin Kariisa, honoured for his contribution to media transformation and communication, and the Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Anita Among, who was acknowledged for her leadership in public service and governance.
Other award recipients included Maj Gen Sabiiti Muzeyi for national service and security leadership, Dr Lawrence Muganga for excellence in academia and thought leadership, and Rt Hon Calvin Armstrong for public leadership. Senior Prophet TJ Collins was also recognised for his faith-based leadership and humanitarian work.
Addressing guests, Prophet Collins emphasised the importance of preserving cultural identity while celebrating leadership anchored in service.
“Development is not driven by policy and economics alone. It is also shaped by values, identity and a shared commitment to uplifting society,” he said.
He noted that recognising leaders across diverse sectors reflects the belief that national transformation requires collaboration between faith institutions, cultural heritage and public leadership.
The Epikaizo Ministries Cultural Day was described by attendees as a distinctive fusion of spirituality, tradition and national appreciation, offering a platform that celebrates both Uganda’s heritage and the individuals contributing to its progress.
The event also served as a prelude to the upcoming Inspirational Leadership Awards ceremony, which organisers say will further highlight exemplary service and leadership across the country.
