The Ladies Open is part of the acclaimed Uganda Golf Open series, highlighting the growing prominence of women in golf and their dedication to the sport. Tanzanian golfer Iddy Hussein Madina clinched her first Uganda Ladies Open title with a total score of 228 (78-76-74), edging out fellow Tanzanian Hawa Wanyeche, who finished with 230, while Uganda’s Martha Babirye and Tanzania’s Neema Olomi tied for third place with 232.

Madina’s victory marked the culmination of years of dedication and resilience, and her performance under pressure secured her place in the tournament’s history. Babirye’s near-miss highlighted the depth of Ugandan talent, signaling a promising future for women’s golf in the country.
