The Rotaract Club of Kigo Seven Lakes Golf had a successful graduation of the 2nd Cohort of The 7 Lakes My Courses Challenge under The 7 Lakes Uni, marking the end of a powerful two-month journey of learning, mentorship, and leadership development. The event brought together Rotaractors, Rotarians, and special guests for a joyful celebration of growth and innovation.
Graced by PAG Annie Ninyesiga, the District Membership Chair for District 9214, the ceremony was a true reflection of the club’s creativity and forward-thinking spirit.
In her keynote address, PAG Annie applauded the club for being a model of innovation in Rotaract leadership and professional development.
“The Rotaract Club of Kigo Seven Lakes has demonstrated remarkable ingenuity,” she said. “Your approach to mentorship, learning, and leadership is a blueprint for the future of Rotaract. Keep this energy alive because this is the kind of impact our generation needs.”
The graduation marked the completion of The 7 Lakes My Courses Challenge, a flagship program under The 7 Lakes Uni, the club’s leadership and learning platform.
Designed to nurture emerging professionals, the Challenge combines practical mentorship, experiential learning, and values-based leadership training.
It has blended theory with real-world experience to help Rotaractors grow into competent, confident, and ethical leaders.
Speaking during the event, Charter President Isa Kato shared the background and inspiration behind the Professional Leadership Development (PLD) initiative that birthed the program.
“When we first envisioned this project, our goal was to create a space where Rotaractors could build professional and leadership skills in a structured yet practical way,” he explained.
“The Challenge is about grooming better leaders those who lead with purpose, empathy, and excellence. Seeing this dream come to life today is deeply fulfilling.”
Club President Louis Shamim Adyeeri, in her remarks, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the graduates and all those who supported the program. “This graduation is a celebration of transformation,” she said.
“To our participants, thank you for choosing to be part of this journey. You have shown resilience, commitment, and a willingness to grow. Through your effort, The 7 Lakes My Courses Challenge has become more than a project it’s a leadership culture.”
President Louis reaffirmed that the club remains committed to ensuring the continuity of The 7 Lakes Uni and its programs, emphasising that it will serve as a long-term platform for professional growth and leadership development.
“This is only the beginning,” she noted. “We are committed to expanding our leadership programs and creating even more opportunities that will empower Rotaractors to serve and lead with excellence.”
The event concluded with the official launch of Bridge 7, Elevate 7 the second program under The 7 Lakes Uni. This mentorship initiative aims to pair Rotarians with Rotaractors in their respective fields of work, fostering professional guidance, collaboration, and intergenerational learning.
The launch marked another step forward in the club’s mission to build a bridge between experience and ambition, ensuring that young leaders are guided by those who have walked the path before them.
The ceremony was filled with energy and pride as participants received their certificates and shared reflections on their personal growth.
The presence of Rotarians and guests from across the district made the event even more special, underscoring the shared commitment to building better leaders through mentorship and collaboration.
As the second cohort graduates and officially joins the 7 Lakes Uni Alumni Network, the momentum continues and the vision is alive, the impact is growing, and the future of leadership is being shaped by Rotaractors who learn today to lead tomorrow.
