Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. The Rural and Infrastructure Development Agency (RIDA) Falcon Air made its first-ever flight between Harare and Beitbridge on Friday.
According to the Chronicle, the journey took 1 hour and 30 minutes, with the plane touching down in Beitbridge at 10:15 AM.
On board were several dignitaries, including Michael Musanjika, the acting deputy chief secretary, RIDA Director General Christopher Shumba, and other senior government and customs officials.
They were welcomed in Beitbridge by Latiso Dlamini-Maseko, the Provincial Secretary for Provincial Affairs and Devolution in Matabeleland South, along with members of the local community.
Falcon Air will now operate regular weekly flights between Harare and Beitbridge.
