Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. A man was run over by a train at Odzi Siding near Mutare on Monday morning, the National Railways of Zimbabwe (NRZ) has confirmed.
In a statement, NRZ said the train crew suspected the man may have already been dead before the incident.
According to the crew, the individual was lying motionless on the tracks and showed no reaction to the train’s horn as it approached. The statement read:A man was run over by a train early this morning at Odzi Siding near Mutare. The man was lying lifeless on the tracks and did not respond to the approaching train’s sounding horn. The train crew suspect the man was already dead by the time he was run over. The man had no identity particulars on him and the scene was attended by ZRP.
