Sanganai/Hlanganani Expo goes to Manicaland

Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. MANICALAND is set to host this year’s Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo for the first time.

The country’s premier international tourism showcase, which has been traditionally held in Bulawayo, will take place in Mutare this September.

Manicaland Provincial Affairs and Devolution minister, Misheck Mugadza, said the hosting of the Expo was not just a symbolic win, but a real economic opportunity for the province.

He encouraged local communities, entrepreneurs and businesses to take advantage of the boost in tourism, trade and investment.

“This is not just an event, it is a golden opportunity for Manicaland. I urge hoteliers, artists, transporters, vendors and everyone to gear up and get ready to benefit,” he said.

“This is a milestone, not just for Manicaland, but for the country. It proves that national development is not confined to one city. Every province now has a seat at the table.”

Organised annually by the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority, the Sanganai/Hlanganani Expo brings international buyers, travel writers, tour operators and investors under one roof.

It serves as a crucial platform for tourism promotion, business networking and investment attraction.

Mugadza said the relocation of this year’s tourism expo was a practical expression of the government’s decentralisation agenda.
