Harare, Sept. 6 (Prensa Latina) The ruling Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front (ZANU-PF) expressed on Friday its deepest concern over attacks in South Africa against businesses run by other African nationals and their transportation.

The concern was expressed by ZANU-PF Secretary for Information and Publicity, Simon Khaya Moyo, who described the events as ‘xenophobic attacks’ and expressed outrage.

In turn, The Herald newspaper reported today that ‘businesses owned by African nationals were looted, while trucks driven by foreigners were also attacked… as well as African immigrants.’

In a statement issued on Thursday, the ZANU-PF said it was deeply disturbed by the attacks in South Africa, causing death and destruction of property, and that such primitive acts are far from the values and ideals of Pan-Africanism and its spirit of brotherhood.
