Africa-Press – Angola. The national president of the Angolan Women’s League (LIMA), Helena Bonguela Abel, reiterated this Wednesday, in Caxito, Bengo province, the continuous dialogue with public and private institutions in order to find the main paths of development from the country.
Speaking at a press conference, regarding a two-day working visit to the province, he said that the government has increased responsibilities and that UNITA will continue to advocate dialogue.
“We defend permanent dialogue, the consolidation of peace and the problems that affect citizens that are open to dialogue”, he highlighted.
He mentioned that LIMA in Bengo has grown and its structure is installed throughout the province.
Among the various actions of the women’s organization, he said, is the fight to achieve women’s rights without party lines.
“We want more women in decision-making positions as they are the majority group in the country. We call on men to emancipate themselves for gender equality”, she highlighted.
In Bengo, the president of LIMA held a courtesy meeting with the acting provincial governor, Edson da Cruz and noted the functioning and organization of the intermediate bodies in the municipalities of Dande and Pango Aluquém.
