Africa-Press – Angola. The education sector in the municipality of Lubalo, in Lunda-Norte province, will be reinforced with the construction of new teaching infrastructures, with the project for a second cycle school with 12 classrooms already under way, announced the governor. Deolinda Vilarinho.

The official, who was speaking during a consultation meeting with the population of Lubalo, explained that the works on the second cycle school are included in the Eurobonds financing line and should be completed by the end of this year.

He also defended the need to give greater importance to the creation of establishments dedicated to technical-professional training, in order to guarantee youth skills that enable them to enter the competitive labor market.

In response to the concerns raised, Thursday, by the different vital forces of Lubalo, the governor considered that, like other districts of Lunda-Norte, the education sector in the municipality must be in progressive development, with new investments.

In addition to expanding the school network with institutions of the second cycle, Deolinda Vilarinho said that the Government’s commitment is also to relaunch and improve the quality of primary education.

He referred that the authorities intend to expand the school network, with more infrastructure at all levels of education, with a view to providing training opportunities for the inhabitants, in a municipality that is essentially rural.

Deolinda Vilarinho, who is carrying out a day to listen to the concerns of the population in the municipalities of Lubalo, Caungula and Cuilo, located in the south of the province, including the collection of suggestions for the improvement of governance policies, stressed that investment in Education aims to respond to the Executive programs, which place the issue of staff training as a priority.

The Government plans, within the framework of the Public Investment Plan (PIP) portfolio, to develop actions for the construction of medium institutes, with priority given to technical-professional areas, such as Health, Agronomy, Civil Construction, Management and Administration, Electricity and IT. , with a view to offering diversified courses.

Professional qualification

The residents of Lubalo asked the provincial governor of Lunda-Norte to create policies that allow the emergence of technical-professional education institutions, to facilitate the insertion of youth in the job market and contribute to the local productive sector. Manuel Samuangala, a member of the Municipal Youth Council in Lubalo, considered that, in addition to supporting the professional qualification of citizens, the technical schools will ensure that local staff do not leave their areas of origin, in search of better living conditions elsewhere. province or country.

The training of teachers for General Education and health technicians locally will help to reduce the shortage of staff in the municipality of Lubalo, considered Manuel Samuangala.

The construction of a library and the equipping of the Liceu do Lubalo Laboratory, the only high school institution in the municipality, including the lack of a referral hospital to provide specialized medical assistance, are among the concerns presented to the governor.

The municipality, according to Manuel Samuangala, faces many difficulties related to the degradation of the communication routes, which connect the municipal seat with the municipalities of Luangue and Muvulueji, as well as other population centers.
