Africa-Press – Angola. The works under way in the municipality of Cacongo, about 46 km north of Cabinda, inserted since 2020 in the Integrated Intervention Plan for Municipalities (PIIM), are taking place at a reasonable pace, say technicians from the Order of Architects of Angola at the level of province of Cabinda.

These are works of central, provincial and municipal scope, namely the Fish Market, the construction of 300 social housing in the Tenda area, the building of the municipalities and the public lighting network in the main town and surroundings.

During two days of visits (Wednesday and Thursday) to the works, the engineers and architects of the Order of Architects of Angola in Cabinda found out about the progress and supervision of the work, with the supervisor of the Fish Market contract, Pedro Venâncio, clarified that the work, whose physical execution started in 2021, is at levels of 75 and 65 percent of physical and financial execution.

He indicated that, at the moment, work was being carried out to prepare the structure of the roof, cladding and later the laying of mosaics.

It is an infrastructure that will have the capacity for 109 benches and statistical areas, fish treatment and weighing and storage and freezing areas.

The architects also visited the construction works underway for the construction of 300 social houses in the locality of Tenda, where work is limited to towing and coverings, installing windows, in a physical execution of 65 percent, in addition to observing the pace of physical execution of the future municipal building, which is at a reasonable pace, as well as the public lighting network.

At the end of the visits, the president of the Order of Architects of Angola in Cabinda, Rui Casimiro, said that the level of physical and financial execution, verified in the referred works, demonstrates that there are signs of compliance with deadlines, facts that left the team satisfied.

On the other hand, he defended the need to increase inspectors in the referred works, in view of the commitment and fulfillment of delivery deadlines, the quality of the works, corresponding to the requirements where the Angolan State wants better qualities of the infrastructures and their durability for the benefit populations and the development of municipalities.
