Africa-Press – Angola. Angola still has a lot to offer in Afrobasket 2025 and will surely beat Cameroon next Saturday at the Kilamba pavilion in the semi-finals, the Minister of Youth and Sports stated.
Rui Falcão, speaking to the press on Thursday night after Angola’s 90-80 victory over Cape Verde in the Afrobasket 2025 quarterfinals, warned, however, that a greater commitment is needed to win the title.
“This crowd is wonderful. You don’t have to ask for it, but a team with this level of support has to leave everything on the court and honor what is asked of them,” he emphasized.
Angola, eleven-time continental champions, last won the competition in 2013.
The other semi-final, also to be played on Saturday (4 p.m.), will pit Senegal against Mali.
