Africa-Press – Angola. A Chinese man was arrested at 4 de Fevereiro International Airport when he was about to illegally transport more than four kilograms of gold, valued at more than 470 million kwanzas (512,524 dollars), to Hong Kong, China.
The 41-year-old man was caught over the weekend in the declaration area, as passengers boarded an Emirates flight to Dubai.
The Chinese citizen was illegally transporting eight gold ingots to Hong Kong, with a stopover in Dubai. The merchandise was identified during the tracking process, after irregularities were found in the documents presented.
Agents from the General Tax Administration, Customs Tax Police, and the Criminal Investigation Service immediately arrested him for trafficking in strategic minerals.
