Africa-Press – Angola. Angola, a nation blessed with mineral wealth, oil, and gas, continues to suffer from extreme poverty that affects the majority of its people. Ironically, the G-spot of poverty has been hit with surgical precision, and the government is the main protagonist of this tragic spectacle.

Every year, the people’s suffering is systematically fueled by public policies that benefit the wealthy and crush the most vulnerable. A glaring example is the recurring increase in fuel prices, which triggers a chain reaction, raising the prices of basic food items, taxi services, and public transportation, and making the cost of living unbearable for those who already have little.

Interestingly, this is the area where the government is most active, not to alleviate but to deepen the suffering of the poor. Economic management seems to follow a specific agenda: punish now, seduce later. Because in 2026, as we already know the script, the “good affection” period will begin, the phase in which power prepares the lady (the people) for the big event, the 2027 elections.

This year, as if by magic, everything will fall. The prices of basic food baskets will drop, smiles will increase, and promises will multiply. But like a deceptive orgasm, the G-spot will be hit once again, not by the pleasure of progress, but by the ecstasy of electoral manipulation. And after the joy of the polls, the people’s hangover returns, prices rise, transportation worsens, wages remain low, and dignity is postponed for another five years.

We are, without a doubt, a special people—resilient, yes, but also permissive enough to allow politicians to play with our misery. They place the country in debt that jeopardizes future generations, all in the name of governance that prioritizes personal and partisan interests.

The question is not whether the people can handle it, but how long will they accept this cycle of manipulation and misery?
