MININT Delegate Asks New CISP Director in Benguela to Be Proactive Benguela – The delegate of the Ministry of the Interior in Benguela province, Aristófanes dos Santos, Monday, asked the new director of the local Integrated Public Security Center (CISP) to be more proactive in managing and maintaining public order and security.
Aristófanes dos Santos was speaking at the presentation of the new CISP director in Benguela, Chief Superintendent Hélder Rangel Romão.
According to the delegate and provincial commander of the National Police, the CISP has the “enormous” responsibility of ensuring support for other forces, as a platform serving public security.
He emphasized that Benguela province is both welcoming and demanding, hence the need for cooperation with agencies operating in the justice sector to help maintain order and public security, addressing complex situations.Aristófanes dos Santos believes the public safety situation in the province is stable.
He promised the institutional support of MININT agencies for the success of this new mission assigned to Chief Superintendent Hélder Romão.
The CISP staff, the delegate, asked for support for the new director, more discipline, and less intrigue that can contribute to toxic environments, as well as compliance with the standards and guidelines required by their superiors.
Meanwhile, the new CISP director in Benguela promised to continue the work already begun by the previous management to improve public safety.
Regarding the challenges, he assured that there is a plan to improve and expand the video surveillance camera coverage network to other areas within Benguela province.
Hélder Rangel Romão replaces Chief Superintendent Daniel de Jesus Félix, who will now serve as Deputy Director General of the national CISP.
The presentation and handover ceremony was witnessed by members of the advisory board of the National Police Provincial Command and the Interior Delegation.
