2025 ITF Final – FAT Releases World Circuit First Week Results

Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan Tennis Federation (FAT) approved and released, on Monday (2) in Luanda, the official results from the first week of the ITF-J30 World Junior Circuit Tournament, which took place on the courts of the Kikuxi Villas Club (KVC) Academy in which Angolans finished 2nd in doubles.

Played from July 28 to August 3, for both genders, in the initial stage, in singles and doubles, dominated by foreign players, trophies were awarded on Sunday in a ceremony led by the National Director of Sports, Águeda Gomes, on the courts located in the Kilamba Municipality, in Luanda.

The next phase, the competition’s second week, designated ITF-J15, also featuring competitors from several countries in genders, will take place from the 5th to the 10th of the current month at the same venue.

The tournament featured a total of 48 athletes, 32 men and 16 women, from over 15 countries, including South Africa, the Czech Republic, India, France, England, Portugal, Romania, Cyprus, Tunisia, Israel, Zimbabwe, Turkey, and Russia.

The competition, which aims to earn points for the World Ranking, provides access to the Professional Tournaments of the ITF (International Tennis Federation), ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals), and WTA (Women’s Tennis Association).

It should be noted that the ITF has entrusted its national affiliate (FAT) with hosting several international competitions in Angola, such as the Davis Cup Africa Group V, also held recently at the Kikuxi Villas Club, which has more than 10 tennis courts.
