Africa-Press – Angola. Forty-five citizens of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) who were illegally residing in the municipality of Soyo, province of Zaire, were repatriated this Saturday by the Migration and Foreigners Service (SME).

According to the spokesman for the Provincial Delegation of the Interior in Zaire, Sérgio Afonso, of this number of illegal immigrants, 25 are female, collected in different neighborhoods of the city of Soyo, within the scope of actions to control and inspect foreigners in irregular migratory status.

He explained that of the 45 citizens repatriated through the river post of Kimbumba (Soyo), two were expelled by court order and 43 by administrative decision.

Four of the six municipalities in Zaire province share land and river borders with the DRC, namely Mbanza Kongo, Soyo, Nóqui and Cuimba, for a total of 310 kilometres.
