Africa-Press – Angola. The provincial director of the Migration and Foreigners Service (SME), Frederico Teles dos Santos, today encouraged the Association of Support to Women Police of Angola (AAMPA), to combat all practices that aim to subordinate women.
To this end, he said that the continuous technical and professional training of female police officers is necessary, so that they have greater control of the legal framework of crimes that attack their physical and mental integrity, with emphasis on domestic violence and sexual abuse.
The official, who was speaking at the Women’s Assembly of the Ministry of the Interior, promoted by AAMPA, said that the implementation of the new philosophy of proximity policing is a challenge for women, therefore, their participation is necessary to reduce the crime rate. in communities.
Frederico Teles dos Santos also appealed to the women of AAMPA to assume positions that contribute to the construction of a more egalitarian, fair and developed society.
The Women’s Assembly of the Ministry of Interior aimed to balance the activities carried out by the Association of Support to Women Police of Angola (AAMPA) in favor of empowering its affiliates and supporting families in vulnerable situations.
