The signal from Africell’s mobile phone network may be a fact in the province of Namibe, to the delight of the local population who welcome the operator’s initiative, with the expansion of these new telecommunications services implemented in the province, in particular, and in the country in general.A note from the Provincial Government announcing the event, via its official Facebook page, reports that the provincial governor Archer Mangueira met with the heads of the Africell group on Tuesday, with whom he “discussed the details of the expansion of the mobile phone signal in the province of Namibe”.
During the discussion, the note adds that the governor “welcomed” the Africell group’s investment and requested that private investment also cover areas of the province where the mobile phone signal is necessarily justified, both in terms of production, tourism and commercial activity, as well as in interpersonal relations.
According to the heads of Africell, the note states that the launch of the signal in Namibe “could happen” in November of this year. The CEO of Africell Angola, Jorge Vazquez, was accompanied by the executive director, Magase Mogale.
