Africa-Press – Angola. Angolan MP Aia-Eza Nacília Gomes da Silva was recently elected as a member of the Governing Council of the Parliamentary Network of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, for a two-year term beginning on October 13th of this year.

According to a note sent this Friday, the renewal of the Parliamentary Network’s Governing Council for the 2025-2027 term is the result of an online election process.

Aia-Eza Nacília Gomes da Silva, a member of the MPLA Parliamentary Group, is currently chair of the 5th Specialized Technical Committee (Economy and Finance Committee).The Parliamentary Network of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund is a platform for parliamentarians from 140 countries to advocate for greater accountability and transparency in international financial organizations and multilateral development finance.

It is a global platform that connects parliamentarians with data, experts, and international forums that influence the policies and investments of the two multilateral financial institutions.

The Parliamentary Network is headquartered in Paris, France, and is governed by a board elected by its peers.
