Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan ambassador to Ethiopia, Miguel Bembe, held a courtesy meeting on Friday with the Permanent Representative of the Economic Community of Central African States (CEEAC), Rufina Obono.

At the meeting, the two entities addressed, among other aspects, the various multilateral initiatives promoted by Angola in the central and southern region of the African continent, says a note from the Embassy of Angola in Ethiopia.

The document adds that the meeting highlighted the “peace and security framework, namely the Quadripartite Summit of Heads of State and

Government of CAO, CEEAC, CIRGIL and SADC, held on 27 July in Luanda.

On the occasion, the Angolan diplomat provided detailed information on the 3rd Edition of the Pan-African Forum for the Culture of Peace – Luanda Biennial, scheduled for the period from 22 to 24 November.

The Forum is a joint organization of the

Government of Angola, the Commission of the African Union and UNESCO, with the theme “Education, Culture of Peace and African Citizenship as tools for the Sustainable Development of the Continent”.

Miguel Bembe and the interlocutor also exchanged views on the next summit of the Community for the Development of Southern Africa (SADC), scheduled for August this year, in Angola.
