Africa-Press – Angola. The state of bilateral cooperation between the republics of Angola and Cape Verde, in the fields of scientific research and staff training, was under analysis, this Tuesday, in Luanda.

The meeting was chaired by the head of Angolan diplomacy Téte António, whose interlocutor was the Cape Verdean ambassador in the country, Júlio César de Morais, and served for the entities to review the need to increase bilateral cooperation, with a focus on the national strategy maritime, which covers the areas of research and training.

“One of the first priorities of the new Cape Verdean ambassador is travel to the provinces of Cabinda, Huíla and Benguela, areas with the highest concentration of Cape Verdeans in Angola,” reads the note.

The historical and fraternal relations between Angola and Cape Verde have been strengthened over the years, based on common values ​​and a deep understanding of regional and global needs.

Through dialogue and collaboration, the two countries have been working together to address global challenges, promote peace and stability in the region, and pursue opportunities for economic progress.

Júlio César de Morais presented, on the 19th of July, at the Presidential Palace in Luanda, the Letters of Credence to President João Lourenço, a legal instrument that qualifies him to exercise the functions of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of his country in Angola.

Cape Verde, an island country located in an archipelago in the Atlantic Ocean, stands out for its rich culture and diversity, and also for its strategic position as a point of convergence between continents.

Its privileged location has contributed to the development of commercial and cultural ties with several nations around the world, including Angola.
