Africa-Press – Angola. Angola and Kenya will hold, in October this year, the meeting of the bilateral commission, as part of strengthening cooperation between the two countries.

According to the Angolan ambassador to Kenya, Syanga Abílio, the Indian country is interested in abolishing visas, an aspect that the diplomat considered important for attracting foreign direct investment.

The diplomat was speaking to the press this Thursday on the sidelines of the visit of the Vice-President of the Republic, Esperança da Costa, to the facilities of the Diplomatic Mission, after completing the agenda of the High Level segment of the African Climate Summit, which ended Wednesday fair in Nairobi.

Syanga Abílio stated that Angola will benefit “much more” from Kenya’s experience in various areas, having highlighted the identification of 12 possible cooperation agreements in the fields of tourism, telecommunications, agriculture, education, health, oil, among others.

“We want to bring Kenyan investors to the country, as well as from other African countries, because Africa has strengths that we can take advantage of,” he reiterated.

VPR visit

At the embassy premises, located in the Runda district, where other diplomatic missions are located, the Vice-President of Angola visited the two properties that support the representation’s services.

After the visit, Esperança da Costa addressed a few words of circumstances to the mission staff, who asked them to look at Kenya as a classroom, taking into account this country’s price on the international market.

During the dialogue, he asked for greater rapprochement with the Angolan diaspora who, in his opinion, need to always be well informed about the country.

After three days of work around the Climate Summit in this country, Esperança da Costa left the capital of Kenya.
