Africa-Press – Angola. On Thursday, in Luanda, Angola and Mozambique identified new priority areas for deepening bilateral relations, as part of the visit of the Mozambican President, Daniel Chapo, to Angola. During the meeting chaired by the heads of diplomacy of Angola and Mozambique, Téte António and Maria Lucas, the sectors of Economy, Commerce, Industry, Agriculture, Health, Culture, Tourism, Transport and Logistics, Finance, Mineral Resources, Technology and Treasury were respectively elected, according to the MIREX in a press release.

In this context, the head of Mozambican diplomacy expressed her country’s desire to intensify the implementation of the legal instruments signed between the two States, and also thanked Angola for its support in the fight against terrorism in Mozambique.

Téte António reiterated President João Lourenço’s solidarity with the Mozambican people, especially in the context of the fight against terrorism, and highlighted the importance of cooperation between the two countries within the African Union, the Southern African Development Community (SADC) and other regional organizations.
