Africa-Press – Angola. The state of current bilateral cooperation was the main topic of discussion at the meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, and the Chargé d’Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Angola, Shannon Nagy Cazeau, which took place in Luanda on Friday.
During the meeting, the parties examined the state of relations between the two countries and identified progress in the political-diplomatic, economic, security, good governance and technical assistance fields.
The meeting allowed for the strengthening of the common understanding on the need to consolidate strategic dialogue and expand joint initiatives that contribute to the sustainable development of Angola.
Minister Téte António highlighted the role of the United States in supporting national efforts to diversify the economy and promote regional stability.
The American diplomat reaffirmed United State’s interest in deepening the partnership with Angola and supporting actions aimed at inclusive growth and shared prosperity.
