Africa-Press – Angola. The senior men’s national basketball team lost 73-79 to Argentina this Monday in a warm-up match for Afrobasket 2025, to be played from August 12th to 24th in Angola.
Training in Spain, the national team had already played four warm-up matches, with 94-83 wins against Chile and two impressive victories over a LEB Ouro team (80-65 and 106-84).
The team will face Argentina again in another friendly match on August 1st, again on Spanish soil, continuing its preparations for the continent’s biggest competition.
For this 31st edition of the African Championship, the national team is placed in Group C, along with its counterparts from South Sudan, Guinea, and Libya.
Angola will play the first round in the city of Moçâmedes, Namibe, but the opening match against Libya on the 12th will be played at the Kilamba pavilion in Luanda, after the opening ceremony.
