Africa-Press – Angola. Angola recorded, in the last 24 hours, nine cases of Covid-19, in the same period in which 39 patients were recovered, with no death associated with the disease.

According to data presented yesterday by the National Directorate of Public Health (DNSP), of the nine positive cases, eight are residents of Luanda and one was reported in the province of Zaire.

The infected citizens are aged between 8 and 75 years, five of them are male and four are female.

The bulletin also informs that of the 39 patients recovered, 16 are residents in Cabinda, 15 in Luanda and eight in the province of Zaire.The recovered patients are aged between 9 and 63 years.

In the last 24 hours, 886 samples were processed by RT-PCR exams, with a daily positivity rate of 1 percent, bringing to a total of 1,491,179 samples performed since the beginning of the pandemic, with a positivity rate of 6, 6 percent.

With these data, the epidemiological picture of the pandemic in the country rose to 99,115 positive cases, of which 97,076 recovered, 1,900 resulted in deaths and 136 were active.

Of the total number of active cases, the document says, none are in a critical or serious condition, with a moderate, an equal number of mild and 137 asymptomatic.

Two patients are hospitalized in the country’s health units, four people are in institutional quarantine and 137 are under epidemiological surveillance.
