Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, reaffirmed, this Sunday, that the country will continue to play its important role in the pacification process in Africa, particularly in the Great Lakes, SADC, West Africa, Central Africa and Gulf regions from Guinea.

In a message on the occasion of Angolan Diplomat Day, Téte António reiterated Angola’s commitment to a policy of peace diplomacy, through a conflict prevention and resolution mechanism, permanent dialogue and the promotion of bilateral cooperation with neighboring countries, based on principles of equality, reciprocal advantages and respect for sovereignty.

“Angola will continue to develop its foreign policy based on the principles of respect and equality between States, peaceful resolution of conflicts, cooperation between peoples, progress and social justice”, reads the message.

According to the head of Angolan diplomacy, Angola will also continue to implement the strategy of promoting its competitive insertion in the international context and taking the greatest advantages of international cooperation, in order to always and increasingly raise the quality of life of the country. Angolan people.

The minister reaffirmed that the Angolan Government is conducting diplomacy aimed at attracting private foreign investment that helps the process of diversification of the national economy, to which he encourages all diplomats to contribute effectively and efficiently.

According to the government official, Angola continues on the path of consolidating its democracy and economic growth, essential premises in solving the population’s most pressing problems, and which make the country an international reference.

Téte António took advantage of the occasion to salute the figures who were notable for their service with a spirit of mission, selflessness and dedication so that Angola could achieve peace, unity and stability.

He added that MIREX will continue with ongoing reforms, aiming for more active and assertive diplomacy, the staff qualification and rejuvenation program, among other actions.
