Africa-Press – Angola. The national under-17 football team will face Malawi on Friday, in a game of the 2nd round (Group A) of the 12th edition of the Cosafa Cup, to be played at the UA Muller Stadium, in South Africa.
Angola lead the group with three points, after defeating Lesotho 2-1 in the first round, while Malawi and Mozambique occupy second and third positions respectively, with one point each.
Angola are looking for their third title in the competition, after the conquests of 2018 and 2021.
Mozambique, another representative of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP), will play Lesotho, on the same day, for the 2nd round.
The National team complete participation in the group stage by facing Mozambique, on Sunday (8).
Gelson and Tremoço (goalkeepers), Ivan, Marquitos, Galinha and Josemar (defenders), Lucas, Omar, Densel, Edinho, Jairo and Manilson (midfielders), Eliseu, Edilásio, Kalanguinha, Hugo and Pinerave (strikers), are the players called up, who are coached by Pedro Gonçalves.
