Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan ambassador to the United States of America, Agostinho Van-Dúnem, received, Friday, in Washington, the president of the Eximbank, Reta Jo Lewis.

According to a note from the Angolan Embassy in the US, the meeting was aimed at preparing the meetings between the Eximbank and the Angolan Executive, which should take place in Luanda, capital of Angola.

On the occasion, the diplomat showed that the Government of Angola is willing to work with the Eximbank to guarantee that the ongoing projects can be financed.

The ambassador considered the projects that had already been approved to be of extreme importance, as they had aroused great expectations, with emphasis on the allocation of the Lobito Corridor.

During her stay in Angola, the chairman of Eximbank, Reta Jo Lewis, is expected to hold meetings with various entities linked to the economic, social, financial, transport and energy sectors.

The president thanked the invitation and congratulated herself for being able to travel to Angola to work on various Eximbank projects, having expressed her willingness to work with the private sectors and small companies.

Reta Jo Lewis also took the opportunity to invite Ambassador Agostinho Van-Dúnem to visit, between the end of August and the beginning of September this year, the Eximbank premises, for a better understanding of its functioning and its projects.
