Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan ambassador to Argentina, Azevedo Francisco, presented his credentials to President Alberto Fernandes on Tuesday.

According to a note received, the act took place at Casa Rosada, the presidential palace, in Buenos Aires.

Right after the meeting with the Argentine Head of State, the Angolan diplomat went to José de San Martin Square, in the capital Buenos Aires, where he laid a wreath at the General monument.

The head of the Angolan diplomatic mission in Argentina will also be responsible for Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay, countries in the same region of Latin America.

Azevedo Xavier Francisco is Angola’s fifth ambassador to Argentina, having been preceded by Fernando Dito, Manuel Aragão, Hermínio Escórcio and Fidelino Pelinganga.

Azevedo Xavier Francisco was Angola’s ambassador to the Republic of Zambia, between 2019 and 2023.

He has a degree in Law, with a Masters in International Relations.

The act was attended by Ambassador Tânia Patrícia Francisco, senior officials from the diplomatic representation and members of the Angolan community residing in Argentina.
