Africa-Press – Angola. Mario Cabrini, the chairman of the Angola-Italy Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIAI) on Monday said that commercial cooperation between Angola and European businesses is increasing, providing a crucial, diverse space open to new partnerships aimed at boosting the country’s economic ecosystem.

Speaking at the opening session of the first “Business Networking of European Chambers of Commerce in Angola” meeting, Cabrini said the six European chambers aim to facilitate trade relations with Angola.

“There is clear recognition and a willingness among European business leaders to promote direct investment and strengthen strategic partnerships for a mutually beneficial future,” Cabrini emphasized.

He considers this event part of the 50th anniversary celebrations of Angola’s independence on November 11, which also commemorates the country’s business history.

Sophie Aubert, the French ambassador to Angola, highlighted the creation of the France-Angola Chamber of Commerce during the first week of this month as a means of attracting more French companies to invest in Angola beyond the oil sector.

Paulo de Oliveira, the executive director of the Portuguese Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade (AICEP), said that his institution has invested in the internationalization of companies from both countries in close collaboration with Angola’s Private Investment and Export Promotion Agency (AIPEX).

The European chambers of commerce networking session met with businesspeople, investors, and representatives of Angolan institutions, as well as several personnel from European Union member states.
