Africa-Press – Angola. Bernardo Firmino Chipepe Semente, a 43-year-old Angolan, was honored on Monday in Lisbon, for his academic career and contributions to Corporate Finance in the international academic and professional arenas.

According to a press release from the Higher Institute of Economics and Management (ISEG) in Lisbon, Portugal, Semente, who holds a Ph.D. in Corporate Finance from ISEG, considers the distinction to be the culmination of a career marked by academic rigor, discipline, and commitment to applying knowledge to economic development.

The academic expressed satisfaction with the recognition, emphasizing that it represents a duty fulfilled.

“I feel satisfied and at peace, knowing I have fulfilled my mission. Knowledge only makes sense when it is placed at the service of the social and economic development of Angola,” he said.

He emphasized that advanced training in corporate finance provides a better understanding of the challenges related to the management, investment, and sustainability of companies. These areas are considered strategic for diversifying the national economy and strengthening entrepreneurship.

Bernardo Firmino Chipepe Semente also advocated for greater appreciation of Angolan human capital, underscoring that investment in high-level training is a fundamental pillar for the country’s sustainable growth.

He added that the distinction is an incentive for young people, demonstrating that effort, dedication to study, and the pursuit of excellence continue to open paths and project a positive image of Angola beyond its borders.
