The potential of the seven startups promoted by the National Institute for Support to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (INAPEM) was highlighted and caught the attention of investors on the second day of the Web Summit in Lisbon, which took place from the 11th to the 14th of this month.The participation of Angolan companies in the event, namely Anda, Cyto, Socia, Arotec, Kubinga, Eco Selecta and 5 Linhas, which owns Aki, is the result of cooperation ties between Angola and Portugal and the organization of the event and sponsorship by the International Finance Corporation (IFC).

In total, 105 startups competed for the trophy at the technology summit, which highlighted the city’s importance as a global reference for entrepreneurs, investors and technology leaders, with a record number of 71,528 participants in total, from 153 countries, according to the organization’s data.

With a vibrant stand and a dynamic presence, companies such as Anda, Kubinga, Sócia and Aki stood out at the event, drawing the attention of investors, curious people and innovators from all over the world.

Anda, recognized as the largest fintech mobility platform in Angola, showcased its solutions for affordable financing of assets, transportation and logistics. Anda’s proposal is to revolutionize mobility in Angola, and the stand, decorated with the Angolan flag, symbolized the pride of representing the country. The receptiveness of visitors reinforces the growing interest in African solutions in the mobility sector.

Another Angolan star, Kubinga, brought an innovative proposal with its SaaS platform, which promotes accessibility and convenience in urban mobility. Kubinga, with the promise of offering everything in the palm of your hand, demonstrated its commitment to technological development and social transformation, making clear its potential to democratize transportation in Angola.

In the e-commerce sector, the Partner has also made its mark by showcasing solutions that simplify shopping, bringing together group buying and easy access to goods and services. The Partner’s innovation has drawn attention to the growing digital market in Angola, with a unique approach that enables Angolans to purchase products more affordably.

With a proposal focused on the Financial sector, Aki presented itself with the mission of revolutionizing financial access through innovative solutions, including payments, group savings and microcredit. The public’s interest in Aki reflects the relevance of these solutions in a country where access to financial services is still a challenge for many.

On the last day, the Portuguese company “Intuitivo” won this year’s technology companies competition, with a digital assessment platform for teachers, “focused on improving the assessment process in schools”.
