Africa-Press – Angola. The National Patriotic Alliance (APN) will hold a march tomorrow, Wednesday, in Bengo province, in support of Quintino Moreira’s candidacy for President of the Republic, within the scope of the election, scheduled for the 24th of this month.
The secretary general of the APN, Pedro Vica, told yesterday that the march will mobilize several members of the political formation and will take place in several streets of the city of Caxito.
The moment, according to the source, will be used to carry out an awareness campaign for local citizens to vote for the APN. He added that the objective is to obtain more votes and elect a greater number of deputies to the National Assembly.
According to the APN secretary general, a party delegation will travel to Namibe province on Friday to hold a mass political act on Saturday, led by its candidate for the presidency, Quintino Moreira.
The National Patriotic Alliance worked last Saturday in Mbanza Kongo, where it held a rally led by the president of the political formation competing for the elections.
On Sunday, the APN delegation traveled to the border of Luvo, province of Zaire, having maintained contact with National Police personnel and received information about the operation, as well as trade between Angolan and Congolese democratic citizens.

Aliança bets on Agriculture
The National Patriotic Alliance (APN) party promises, in case of victory in the elections on 24 August, to bet on Agriculture to eradicate poverty, the provincial secretary in Bié, Ernesto Calungo, reaffirmed yesterday.
The challenge was launched by the provincial secretary of the APN, during a campaign to mobilize voters, carried out in the streets of the village of Cunhinga.
He underlined that Agriculture is the main activity of the Angolan population, especially those residing in rural areas, so the solution is precisely to invest heavily in small and medium-sized family farming.
“Our manifesto is focused on solving the situation of extreme poverty. We are going to work to guarantee employment for all youth, their own home and much more. If we are the government, we will make the dream of all Angolans come true”, he promised.
At the rally to present the governance programme, the provincial secretary of the APN, Ernesto Calungo, asked for a vote for his party and justified that the organization “is the alternative for solving the population’s problems”.

Secretary seeks door-to-door support in Lubango
Dozens of militants from the National Patriotic Alliance (APN) carried out, yesterday, door-to-door campaigns to raise awareness of vote-hunting in the outlying districts of Maringa, Sófrio and Casa Pato, in the city of Lubango.
The party’s first provincial secretary, Jonas Cambuta, clarified that the APN is in tune to carry out the campaign in all parts of Huíla.
He added that, over the weekend, the political party carried out actions in three districts of the headquarters, having approached several voters interested in knowing the government programme.
Jonas Cambuta promised that, in case of victory in the elections on the 24th of this month, the actions included in the program will be carried out, hence the importance of bringing them to public knowledge.
He urged the Huilas, in particular, and Angolans, in general, to trust the party led by Quintino Moreira: “The people must believe in the APN, as it is the party of the youth. Everything that is in the electoral manifesto will be carried out.”
