Africa-Press – Angola. Sport was considered, (Thursday), in Luanda, as a vehicle for inclusion, whether in the moment of sharing learning and meeting minds to create bridges with individuals in the community, by the president of the Council of Administration (PCA) of the BAI Foundation, Inockcelina de Carvalho.

Speaking during the National Conference on Sport as a Factor for Social Inclusion, the person responsible said that it aims to unite agents who, working in the third sector, use sport as a tool for education and social inclusion.

It includes targeted guidance that aims to inspire social economic changes and also the aim of this project to convert great potential into reality in the short and medium term.

For the administrator, sport represents overcoming, connection and knowledge, as an instrument of education and a source of health.

“Every day we see how sport has impacted and led us to overcome barriers to unite borders, people and entities, doing a lot towards common goals in large communities”, he said.

In this sharing space, he continued, the aim is to also explore the various ways in which sport can be a powerful tool to include those who have continually been marginalized.

The aim, he said, is to hear stories from people who will talk in the first person about how to start and how sport has impacted their lives here and abroad.

“In this way, we will create references that youth need, for the future, the BAI foundation and partners together, firmly believe in sport as one of the greatest agents of social and cultural transformation”, he highlighted

According to Inockcelina Carvalho, the foundation serves as a vehicle for the social responsibility exercised by the Bank, as well as the axis of sport, being a factor of social inclusion and great integration of communities, one of the sectors that drives us with great strength towards promoting transformation in society.

On the other hand, he informed that the BAI Academy intends to continue with this event annually, as well as to outline major strategies for the year, regarding the sports axis, where they find the partnerships, right people and references that will serve youth

In turn, Nádia Cruz, sports curator at the BAI Foundation, highlighted that this project encompasses sport, health, culture and education, in favor of development in the third sector.

“Sport has several modalities, where the foundation supports several social projects in order to promote the practice of sports”, he highlighted. Former swimmer, Nádia Cruz, recognizes the importance of sport as an educational and inclusive resource that promotes health and well-being

The Colloquium aims to bring together sports agents, who, working in the third sector, use sport as a tool for education, social inclusion, vocational guidance and aim to inspire social and economic changes.

Participating in the activity are agents from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, sports clubs with tradition in areas such as basketball, handball and other sports disciplines and athletes with disabilities.
