Africa-Press – Angola. The new northern regional delegate of the National Bank of Angola, Sangro Santos, said monday, in Cabinda, that he will continue to work with the provincial government for the extension of commercial banking in the province’s municipalities.
Sangro Santos, presented to the members of the Government, said that in Cabinda there are municipalities without bank representation, so he intends to set up “bank correspondents or even branches”.
He referred that it is also necessary to improve the services of the payment system such as the ATM, a means that facilitates direct contact with the banking public.
Sangro Santos, who replaces Hélder Varela, was appointed by the BNA governor, Manuel Tiago Dias, as part of the staff rotation process that included some provinces where the central bank is present, namely Huíla, Benguela, Cuando-Cubango and Cabinda.
He is a senior member of the BNA, with a lot of experience and years at the company. Before his appointment to Cabinda, Sangro Santos performed the same functions in the province of Huíla.
The province of Cabinda, in addition to Banco BPC, has BCI, BIC, Banco Sol, BDA, BNI, BAI, BFA, BCA, Banco Atlântico, Milleniun, Keve, Totta Standard and Açores and Banco Espírito Santo.
