Africa-Press – Angola. The administrator of the municipality of Caála, Ruben Isaías Etome, considered Monday, that the Feira dos Municípios e Cidade de Angola (FMCA) held in Huíla, made it possible to seek new economic experiences and basic sanitation management.

The official made these statements, moments after the arrival of stallholders from the municipality of Caála, province of Huambo, who participated in the event, which took place from the 10th to the 13th of this month, in the city of Lubango, province of Huíla.

He informed that the authorities of the municipality of Caála managed to fulfill the expected objectives, fundamentally, in attracting national and foreign investors, with the demonstration of agricultural, livestock, industrial, technological, cultural and tourist potential, with a view to attracting the greatest number of investors. .

Likewise, the administrator said he had taken advantage of the event to exchange experiences, both in the productive field and in the management of basic sanitation, with a view to promoting socio-economic development and fostering employment.

Ruben Isaías Etome said that he liked the productive proposal of the municipality of Humpata (Huíla), in addition to having received experience from the city of Moçâmedes, province of Namibe, in the field of solid waste management.

The municipality of Caála took to the fair proposals on agro-industry, with a focus on the production and transformation of corn and wheat, the technological invention of mini-hydro by students of the degree course in Engineering at the local Higher Polytechnic Institute.

The IV edition of the FMCA took place in a gross space of five thousand square metres, with exhibitions from the 164 municipalities of the country’s 18 provinces, as well as ministerial departments, public and private companies, civil society, investors and national producers.

The previous edition, held in 2018, at the Ombaka Stadium, in Benguela, brought together 250 companies from the country’s 164 municipalities and representatives of six ministerial departments.
