Africa-Press – Angola. The first secretary of the Cabinda Provincial Committee of the MPLA, Mara Quiosa, said today, Tuesday, in this city, that her party will remain firm and determined in the face of the challenges of the five-year period.
Speaking at the New Year’s greeting ceremony, Mara Quiosa underlined the need for militants to raise their heads and continue the work because “the struggle is ongoing and victory is certain”.
To this end, he said, it is necessary to improve the performance of the party’s grassroots organizations, in complying with the work plan and activities for the year 2023, the calendar of meetings, the discipline commissions as well as the study of the main documents advisors.
He also highlighted the role of the social organizations of his party, OMA and JMPLA, in improving their actions in order to bring together young people and women from various social strata with conviction and responsibility.
He also urged the organizations associated with the party to be closer to the citizen, taking a word of encouragement and hope in the actions of the Executive supported by the MPLA.
For the MPLA specialty committees at provincial level, he appealed to them to continue to play their role as consultants and to bring ideas and suggestions that can be implemented by the government in programs and projects that meet the expectations of the populations.
He also said that during consultation visits in the main municipality and in Cacongo, he could see that projects of great impact, especially for youth, will bring new dynamics to the province, the completion of works on the Porto do Caio Terminal, Cabinda Refinery, Cabinda Centrality, rehabilitation of communication routes, Cabinda University Campus and others.
He asked for unity and cohesion within the family, MPLA in Cabinda, eliminating slander, envy, tribalism, regionalism and other evils fomented to divide.
́ ́We must be more united in the search for viable alternatives to make the message of Peace and development flow, which is the motto that guides the actions of the party in this five-year period ́ ́, he sustained.
He exhorted the militants, sympathizers and friends of the party, OMA and JMPLA, to continue publicizing the actions carried out in their Action Committee and sector, in their neighbourhood, village, town, commune, municipality so that they could be the domain of the entire population and avoid the speculations of his detractors.
He recommended closing ranks around the MPLA and its leader, supporting the economic and social reforms underway in the country, contributing to the achievement of the electoral purposes enshrined in the MPLA government program for the period 2022-2027 for the good of all Angolans in general and Cabinda in particular.
