Africa-Press – Angola. The candidate for JFNLA leadership, Carlos Cassoma, intends to focus on mobilizing young people for academic and technical-professional training, aiming to encourage self-employment and reduce poverty.

Carlos Cassoma was speaking during the presentation of his electoral manifesto, which took place on Friday, in the city of Cuito, Bié province.

To this end, he highlighted, he plans to establish a partnership with the Ministry of Public Administration, Labor and Social Security (MAPTSS).

The competitor also intends to improve levels of action with civil society and beyond, so that JFNLA is more active and proactive, both in implementing projects focused on young people and populations in the country.

On the other hand, he added that he is focused on increasing revenue collection, through the reorganization that must be carried out in the JFNLA’s financial area, motivating members to pay dues, contrary to what is currently happening.

Carlos Cassoma also added that the goal is to introduce young people to entrepreneurship and gender parity, as well as to strive for international cooperation, aiming to change the current scenario and correspond to the desires of young people.

On the other hand, he praised the dynamism of the Youth of the National Front for the Liberation of Angola in the province of Bié, which, according to him, should be a model to be replicated in the country, with a view to galvanizing more militants, friends and supporters.

The JFNLA Congress, which will take place from the 9th to the 12th of January 2024, in Luanda, is expected to have more than 300 delegates coming from all over the country.

Vita Francisco and Bumba Paiva are also competing for this election.

The current leader is Caquarta Fernando.
