Africa-Press – Angola. The municipal administration of Chibia, in Huíla, has had a new type A structure since Tuesday.
The infrastructure built in eight months cost 702 million 160 thousand 686 kwanzas 17 cents and was implemented in an area of eight thousand square meters in eight months and falls within the scope of the Integrated Investment Plan in Municipalities (PIIM).
It has more than 40 facilities, one of which is the first branch of the Savings and Credit Bank (BPC) in the municipality and a parking lot for 43 vehicles, whose inauguration is part of the Week of the Hero of the Nation, António Agostinho Neto, who would complete 101 years, on September 17th.
With the new infrastructure, local authorities hope for greater dynamism in promoting and guiding economic and social development, as well as ensuring the efficient provision of services.
The provincial governor of Huíla, Nuno Mahapi, stated that the quality is what stands out the most depending on the objectives set by the local Government, as the material used in terms of finishes reflects the mineral potential of the municipality.
“The population of Chibia has an Administration that matches the size of these people, who work so hard and do so much for the development of our province. Now what we are asking is for the members of the administration who are going to work here to actually be able to respond to the interests of our population”, he alluded.
On the occasion, the municipal administrator of Chibia, Sérgio da Cunha Velho, highlighted that one of the biggest difficulties they faced was the space to house all the departments that comprise the organic status of the administration.
As a result, he explained, the facilities of Sogangelas, the company that manages the municipality’s irrigated perimeter, provided support to three municipal departments, a fact that caused embarrassment, not only for the professionals who work there, as they traveled considerable distances in mobility to the administration .
For the person responsible, it is an investment that will also reduce the effort of users looking for the main services, as they are now all congregated in one space.
The municipality of Chibia is located 42 kilometers south of the Huila capital, and has an estimated population of 250,590 inhabitants spread across the four municipalities and 28 villages, 447 neighborhoods, whose ethnolinguistic group is mainly made up of Nyaneka in the Mumuila, Handa and Humbi variants.
