Africa-Press – Angola. China wants Chinese companies in Angola to actively fulfill with their social responsibilities, project a good image and promote the history of the two countries so that the fruits of China-Angola cooperation can better benefit both peoples.
This was expressed on Tuesday in Luanda by the ChargeĢ d’Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Angola, Chen Feng, during the ceremony for the delivery of electronic equipment and presentation of restoration works to the African League of Friendship, Solidarity and Peace (LAASP) held by the company China Town.
According to the diplomat, as an important representative of Chinese private investment in Angola, China Town has become a powerful force in promoting trade cooperation and interpersonal and cultural exchanges over the years, playing an active role in deepening mutual understanding between the two peoples.
The diplomat noted that by donating materials and renovating the LAASP facilities, China Town demonstrates its willingness to fulfill its social responsibility, care for the public good and promote friendship between the peoples of the two countries.
She said that expects that the Chinese community in Angola will continue to put down roots locally, integrate into society and promote the spirit of unity and cooperation, contributing to new and greater achievements in deepening the friendship between China and Angola.
The diplomat pointed out that more than 400 large Chinese companies operate in Angola and employ more than 50,000 Angolan workers.
She recalled that, since December 2024, Angola has benefited from a zero tariff regime for 100 of its products exported to China, which will help accelerate the ongoing transformation of China-Angola cooperation, such as diversification, sustainability and high-quality development.
