The Commander-General of the National Police, Commissioner-General Francisco Monteiro Ribas da Silva, stated Monday, in Ambriz, Bengo province, that the mission of defending the Angolan State demands irreproachable conduct from its personnel, based on solid ethical principles, respect for hierarchy, and discipline.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the second round of the 21st Basic Police Course and the seventh specialization course in Border Guarding, which took place at the Mártires de Mongaguá Training Center in the municipality of Ambriz, he hoped that this achievement would be the beginning of a career marked by honor, merit, and mission.Having completed this training phase, the Commander-General reminded the officers that they are now qualified to operate anywhere in the national territory, aware that wearing the uniform means assuming a permanent commitment to legality, responsibility, and service to the nation.
“Stand firm with determination and courage, always remembering that order and security cannot wait. The mission of an Angolan National Police officer is, above all, a mission of high patriotic and social significance,” he stressed.
Seven hundred and ninety-two officers of the National Police successfully completed the second round of the 21st basic police course and the seventh specialization course in Border Guarding.
The training aimed to train law enforcement officers to strengthen the technical and professional capacity of the Angolan National Police with the skills to guarantee the security, surveillance, and protection of borders.It also aimed to equip trainees with skills in techniques and tactics for preventing and combating cross-border crimes and other threats to national security.
Of the 792 graduates, 730 are male and 40 are female.
