Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Culture, Filipe Zau, highlighted on Monday in Luanda the improvement in the quality of the music, floats, and costumes presented by the groups in this edition of the Carnival in the capital of Angola.
Speaking to the press at the end of the Class A parade of the Luanda Carnival, the performance of the groups is satisfactory, however, some groups need to work harder so that the national carnival can become an industry and a relevant cultural product.
According to the minister, there are high-quality groups and others less visible from the point of view of quality, which need to work on creativity and research.
“Culture has this dynamism, culture is not static, culture is dynamic and therefore, we are evolving and I think that the presence of tourists and most of the music that has appeared has fallen away from semba,” the minister said.
