Africa-Press – Angola. The provincial commander of the National Police in Uíge, Commissioner Matias dos Santos, reaffirmed, this Tuesday, the continued commitment to training the corporation’s staff, aiming to improve the performance of their activities.

Matias dos Santos reaffirmed this commitment during the closing of the training seminar for the 44 employees of the Department of Investigation of Criminal Offenses (DIIP).

The official commissioner said that the continuous training of the corporation’s staff aims to raise professional levels, as well as improve the performance of police officers in the region.

The training action, which lasted 23 days, aimed to support the work carried out by the judiciary bodies, in the exercise of procedural instruction and criminal investigation.

For this reason, he called on trainees to put the knowledge acquired into practice in order to improve the performance of their activities.

Guided by six trainers, the training course covered crime and the extinction of criminal liability, procedural measures, detention and forms of prosecution, evidence and means of obtaining evidence, cyber and computer crimes and other topics.

During the training, the Provincial Commander of the National Police in Uíge handed out certificates of participation to the finalists.
