Díli – The national taekwondo team won two bronze medals on Monday in the men’s and women’s competition at the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP) Games, held at the Sports Hall in Díli, Timor-Leste.
Domilde Fernando achieved the men’s feat in the -55 kg category.
Portuguese athlete Gustavo Fernandes won the gold medal after defeating his home opponent, Nélio Martins, in the final. Martins won the silver medal.
Out of only four competitors, Lauren Mabote of Mozambique finished in fourth place.
In the women’s category, which also had only four competitors, Jasmine Amaral won the silver medal in the -46 kg category.
