Africa-Press – Angola. The 1° de Agosto senior women’s handball team defeated, this Friday, in Brazzaville, Nziko dos Camarões, by an impressive 46-24, in a game in the first round of Group A of the African Champion Clubs’ Cup, which takes place in the Republic of Congo.
At halftime of the match, the Angolan “military” team, led by coach José Terça “Chuma”, already held a 24-13 advantage.
With this triumph, 1o de Agosto begins its defense of the title in the best possible way. The Augustinians will play in the following rounds with Grain de Sel from Congo and Al Ahly from Egypt.
As for the country’s other representative, Petro de Luanda also beat, on Thursday, the FAP team from Cameroon, by 42-22, in the opening round of Group B of the continental competition.
