Africa-Press – Angola. The advanced state of degradation of the infrastructures of the Military Prosecutor’s Office in Malanje, has caused frequent floods in the rainy season and consequently conditioned the functioning of the body.
This situation has made the work and speed required in dealing with cases related to the administration of justice extremely difficult.
The information was given Tuesday, by the Deputy Attorney General of the Republic and military prosecutor, Filomeno Octávio da Conceição Benedito, at the end of a visit to the said facilities, accompanied by the provincial governor, Marcos Nhunga.
According to the magistrate, in view of this reality, the Military Prosecutor’s Office made contact with the provincial government about the possibility of restoring the building or constructing other facilities, with a view to dignifying the organ.
He stressed that as long as the situation prevails, the Attorney’s Office will operate in temporary facilities.
In addition, he made it known that another concern is related to the lack of military magistrates in the province, with only three to meet the procedural demand, although at this time the crime rate in military bodies is low.
Without giving details, the vice-prosecutor pointed out absence from duty and indecent conduct as the main military crimes registered in Malanje.
