Africa-Press – Angola. The specialized commissions of the National Assembly started, this Monday, the discussion of the Proposal of Law that Approves the Labor Procedure Code.
During the works, the parliamentarians approved some articles, of the 230 of this diploma, which will allow to unify and systematize the various separate norms on procedural labor law and provide a better search for legal certainty and security.
The proposal intends to introduce some reforms, such as the reformulation and characterization of procedural assumptions.
Thus, it is intended to review the issue of judicial capacity, legitimacy, prerogative of representing the State and other persons designated by the Public Ministry.
The Proposal for a Labor Procedure Code is fundamental, given the difficulties faced by the national labor legislative framework since the country’s independence, says the background report.
When intervening in the discussions of the deputies of the 1st, 5th and 10th specialized commissions of the National Assembly, the Secretary of State for Justice, Evaristo Solano, said that it is urgent to approve this document because the norms referring to labor procedures are dispersed, in addition to many outdated to current reality.
He stated that the diploma will introduce reforms such as the reformulation and characterization of procedural assumptions, with emphasis on judicial capacity, legitimacy, prerogative of representing the State and other persons designated by the Public Ministry.
