Africa-Press – Angola. Desportivo da Lunda-Sul consolidated its leadership of the National Football Championship of the I division, Girabola`2023/24, after beating Kabuscorp do Palanca Sunday, in Saurimo, by 3-1, in a game related to the 13th journey.
In the first half of the match there were only two highlights, Mussa, Cuxixima, which led the opposing goalkeeper to apply himself better, in the 22nd and 27th minutes.
When the match resumed, Desportivo da Lunda-Sul started attacking, creating more game initiatives and goal opportunities, which only emerged in the 80th minute, through Dieu, who put the “Lundas” ahead on the scoreboard.
In the 85th minute, in an inspiring move from outside the Palanca team’s penalty area, Bebo shot hard past goalkeeper Landu, making it 2-0.
After two minutes, Nelinho, from Kabuscorp do Palanca, reduced the score to 2-1, after some insistence in the “Lundas” small area.
In the last minutes of the match, Betinho, at 90+1, extended the score to 3-1, after responding well to a cross from Cuca, who, with a header, sentenced the game.

The coach of Desportivo da Lunda-Sul, Maurilio Silva, stated that the team has been working very well, deserving of the three points, against a great opponent.
The coach of Kabuscorp do Palanca, Zeca Amaral, considered the result exaggerated, due to what happened in the game, considering, however, the victory of the opposite teams as fair.
“We failed at times, but we will continue to work to reverse this pattern of defeats,” he said.
In the next game, Desportivo da Lunda-Sul will face Desportivo da Huíla.
With this result, the Lunda-Sul team has 25 points, against 21 for Kabuscorp do Palanca, in third place.
